Our prosthetic socks are available in various size, thickness and materials. The following are the standard prosthetic sock styles that we make:
Style 26: This style is made using mercerised cotton yarn with Elastane/nylon in the leg for smooth wrinkle free fit. The Distal end is reinforced with nylon on the outside to improve
abrasion resistance. It is available in beige or black colour. (Style 26L39 is available only in Natural cotton and black colour.)
Styles 27 and s27: These socks are made using COOLMAX® EcoMade yarn with Elastane/nylon in the leg for smooth wrinkle free fit. s27 have Ionic+® Metalized silver embedded in the COOLMAX® EcoMade yarn. They
may have application where skin hygiene is a problem. These fine COOLMAX® socks are thin and soft on the patients’ skin. The Distal end is reinforced with nylon on the outside to improve
abrasion resistance. Style 27 is available in white colour and s27 is available in Silver colour.
Styles 28 and s28: They are made with COOLMAX® terry inside and mercerized cotton outside, these socks are designed to carry moisture away to the outer cotton layer away from the skin. s28 have Ionic+® Metalized silver embedded in the COOLMAX® EcoMade yarn, this may have application where skin hygiene is a problem. The COOLMAX® material is very soft against the wearer’s skin, they give a high degree of comfort including for those who have easily damaged skin. The leg is combined with Elastane/Nylon for stretch and fit. The distal end is reinforced with thick nylon to improve abrasion resistance.
Styles 2A,21, 30, 31, 35: Style 2A is made using COOLMAX®, mercerized cotton and nylon yarns. On the outside it has mercerized cotton and COOLMAX® on the inside. It does not have terry and has a thickness of 2.2mm. Style 21 is made using black dyed COOLMAX® EcoMade yarn and is available in specifications same as that of style 28M. Styles 30 and 31 are made using COOLMAX® EcoMade yarn and are tapered thin sock available in various lengths. Style 35 is thin nylon sheath which is 0.7mm thick.
Pin Hole styles- Made with constant thickness distal end (0.9mm) enabling several socks to be worn without a large increase in height . Each style has a different coloured band indicating thickness of leg. The knitted hole will not fray with normal wear. Styles : H5, H6, H7, H8, H9, HA.
Seal in Liner socks: The Socks have 2.4mm liner cuff to tuck under seal collar. The proximal end is fused to prevent fraying. They are available in different thickness with/without terry. Styles: TAUU12, TAUU16, T9UU12, T9UU16.
Silver Inside Liner socks (sLT)- These socks are designed to be very stretchy and very thin, to be used inside a liner if necessary to give a measure of perspiration control, the leg circumference range of each is 21cm to 40cm circumference. They are made from very fine COOLMAX® spun with Ionic+® Metalized silver.
